I think Tommy Hearns has a reign at middleweight. Not sure how long but he might have emerged as one of the better middles of the decade

Interesting times .Would be like the Pre Tyson HW era . Does Robbie Simms exist ? He could of won something .SRL would pop in and out of the division Duran and Hearns also . Would don curry be more tempted to move up earlier with no dominant champ ?

Leonard without the eye injury and the subsequent substance abuse and personal demons it created probably fight Hagler as early as 1982-83.
I didn't add Leonard because( I know I'm in the minority on this subject), but I believe Leonard would've beaten Hagler even in his prime.
Hagler had issues with fighters that could counter him , and force him to lead.
    Leonard could do that.
Duran believed that himself after he fought Hagler and told Leonard this.
Who am I to argue with Roberto Duràn who shared the ring with both men.

Yeah i wouldn't count out Ray even against peak Hagler. I still think he would have got motivated fought for the title way earlier tho.

McCallum goes up to 160 early after he loses out on the the Duran fight and dominates the division more than not for years after settling in.. thats my pick .. Certaintly not the the marketable type but either was Hagler before he finally got his title shot WAY late and started dominating . I would favor an early climber McCallum at 160 to beat Hearns and Mike might be too strong for an out of retirenment SRL as well... Tho I would favor SRL there with a couple of tune ups there first, maybe
