For many it was a bit surprising, actually. Many questioned his power at 147. I think if Margarito exhausts himself by swinging at thin air and taking many rounds of Mayweather's very under-rated body work (note what Mosley quietly did in that regard) , a late stoppage or corner towel toss is not totally absurd a scenario. I do agree that the very wide UD is almost certainly the likely outcome. It is a moot point now anyway. Margarito is yesterday's news, and may now have some credibility/legal issues on his hands that will make his previous struggle for cred look like a walk in the park.
Very true. (Although its been one for a long time now, being as though Floyd refused to fight him). I personally didnt think he would ko hatton, as I too questioned his power at ww, but its a different story with margarito. Hatton has been hurt from lesser punchers than the likes Margarito has eaten massive punches from, and margarito has never wore himself out down the atretch, thats when he comes on stronger
Mayweather v Margarito gross replay of Mayweather v Baldomir, Mayweather v Corrales, Mayweather v Gatti, and Mayweather v Hatton. Like Baldomir he would be too slow like Corrales he would walk into the left hook/right hand combo and get stopped like Gatti he would get hit and get stopped like Hatton he would walk into shots and get stopped
I know you're not a hater,i was just pointing out the simplicity and irrelevance of firing off overused insults(nuthugger,hater...etc) Why is underestimating a 37 year old(albeit modern great)opponent so far fetched? SRR underestimated Turpin,...Ali-Spinks,...Tyson-Douglas,...Lewis-MCcall/Rahman/Vitali(?) The sport is littered with these instances. Moreover;rather than try and steal credit from Shane,if you read my above comments,i praise his skill, guile, guts etc...and object to Shane's great win being allocated to Floyd by proxy. As if he would ever have dreamed of doing what Mosley did.He wouldnt risk it. You guys owe Mosley a massive thank you for bumping off Margarito, but dont talk as if Floyd deserves any credit for Shane getting him off the hook/out of the firing line.
No-one is giving Floyd credit for what Shane did. But it isn't crazy to draw from the fight a little in terms of Mosley's speed, ring smarts, and skill. Mayweather is faster, has better ring generalship, and much better defense than Mosley. He is also in his physical prime. PBF does not have Mosley's power - though both have been questioned in this regard in recent times and both have surprised when they sat down on their shots. Mayweather's physical strength is also under-rated, though not quite at Shane's level. There is no real mystery here - speed kills and Antonio Margarito would be swinging at thin air if he ever faced Mayweather. He would also be facing a stronger fighter than many people seem to realise. That ten pounds Margarito would enioy would be insignificant.
Thats a very compelling argument. I just wish he had actually done it and shut up my and many other big,misguided,mouths...and proven you guys right. Or vice versa. Thats what's frustrating. Its conceivable that Floyd would have done as you say Radar.Or Maybe Margarito would have had more success with Floyd than he did with Shane. Its all speculation, but i do think people are extrapalating by giving Floyd the unarguable win based on what happened. Its not a guarantee of what Floyd would have done. Maybe a pointer but thats all.
I had it hosted in my photobucket account and I just never deleted it, came across it awhile back, just happened to remember after seeing your location.
You sound just as bitter and juvenile as ever. Guess you're really hurting this week. Think about your comments, Einstein. You think I wouldn't have been here for Mayweather's KO of Hatton? Pacman's beatdown of Hoya? You Margarito nuthugger's just got owned by a 37 year old who everyone claimed was washed up. I'd be bitter as hell too. :yep
