.....had been beaten by Castillo? Would he have fought Pacquiao already?

I personally think that if Floyd hadnt got that decision against Castillo then he wouldnt be as scared to lose his 0. Losing is something that man cant comprehend so it scares the life out of him. I think he knows he can beat pac but its the fear of losing thats stopping him i think.

Basically if floyd didnt have that 0 on his record then maybe he would have fought marg, Cotto and Pacquiao long ago!!!

    ...any thoughts?:think

    agreed

that 0 has conquered Floyd's mind for so long. Im so sure that if he were to lose it now he would end up as another Hamed whereas if he rightfully lost it in the Castillo fight he would be like Whitaker.

Not sure about that...he doesn't seem to have fallen out of love with the sport the same way Hamed did. Unless it was a devastating defeat, I could definitely see him getting himself a rematch...wasn't there supposedly a rematch clause in the Mosley bout?

    yes!
the best thing that can happen to floyd is lose his 0. After that he got nothing to lose and would fight all the available competition out there.

    Great post :good

    You're exactly on the money

His legacy and reason he is so popular is that he is undefeated. It all ties in with the mega rich franchise he is trying to set up

If he had lost his 0 already he would have fought Pacquiao ages ago

Its just too much risk for him if he loses, no matter what the pay day he would get

he was injured in the first fight and knew he could beat castillo easily without the injury.

Yes, we'd probably be at the end of a trilogy. Because him and his psychotic father wouldn't be putting out these FALSE accusations of PED's... :p

you might be right. Sometimes losing that zero is the best thing to happen to a fighter. That is all Floyd has to prove he is great. Saying he is undefeated. So he does not fight the best guys he can.
