The man doesn't get a lot of love on these forums, but what if the damn near unthinkable were to happen and he were to actually beat Pavlik (god forbid)?:huh

I dont like the thought of it myself but i'd certainly have to start respecting the man for better or worse were he to somehow achieve a victory

It would be an upset if Sergio Mora made it into a ring with Kelly Pavlik, much less walk away the victor.

But if he did, I would be shocked.

Then again, I picked Vernon Forrest to win via TKO, so I'm not in a position to talk.

I don't see this happen, but nothing is impossible in boxing - who here would have tought that he wins against Forrest?

Mora is a decent fighter after all, and he's undefeated. Him winning against Pavlik would be the upset of the year, and it would be bad for the MW division - Pavlik needs to remain the dominant man in that division, and beat Abraham in a high-profile fight. He is marketable and can become the next big star in boxing, and boxing needs desperately needs popular stars that the mainstream sport fans can relate to. If he keeps winning, Pavlik has the potential to be one of these, like ODLH.

Pavlik is not a shopworn Vernon Forrest fighting above his prime weight.

I think if someone beats Pavlik it will be by KO/TKO, not decision. Mora can't hurt Pavlik, thus Pavlik will start unloading on the Latin Fake by the 5th round.

I would laugh my ass of watching all of the fair-weather fans on this forum take turns to come up with excuses about how they wern't the ones saying Pavlik would beat Calzaghe & Hopkins etc...

Oh please - I want it happen so much for that reason...

Sadly it won't because Mora in no way has the right tools to keep Pavlik off him. If he has a brain he won't even step into the ring with him. Kessler would wreck Pavlik however...
