what if? - the great question no-one will ever be able to answer because it never was The Ring Magazine fills too many of its pages devoted to this kind of bull****
The fight would've lasted another 10 seconds, if that. Pac would've put him down again, harder, and the ref would've stopped it. Erik made the right decision. Sometimes you have to be man enough to know when you're beaten, know when you no longer have it, and don't be stupid and risk permenant damage. He did that.
people love what if questions thats why you see them here and in the ring so much..i know i love the what ifs..but i say a bad bad ending for morales if he gets up he didnt get up because he knew the ending would be really bad
the only problem with them - you can argue all day about them with no conclusion because no-one will ever know. Arguing about the future is different - because it could happen
i never argue these things i give me view and listen to others and then change my view or i dont..no one is arguring here
It isn't like getting up was going to turn the clock back 5 years for Morales. He was going to get KO'd the next time Pac hit him. On the positive side, I was at a party where we did a KO/decision grid and I pulled Pac by KO in the 3rd. So, his decision to stay down won me $200.
Morales even before the first Pac fight, was a fighter who was steadily getting slower...... .....the Raheem fight before the second Pac fight put it all in perspective.......he could'nt get off vs Raheem because he was too slow..... .....and guess what folks, once you start losing your speed and sharpness, it is'nt going to get any better down the road..... ....thus the reason Morales was worn down and stopped in the Pac rematch.....and getting even slower, could'nt get off combinations without getting thudded by Pac's big shots in fight number three. If they fought today, it would likely get worse for Morales. Speed and power is a slow fighters worst nightmare. Morales made his last stand in the first Pac fight, credit to him.
