how do you think of his potential?
What if my auntie had bollocks
Ngannou looks stiffer than Ajagba
I don't rate him at all. He is terrible.
If Ngannou thought he could have made it in boxing, he would have chosen boxing instead of MMA.
Then he'd still be ****.
Like most of these MMA fighters, he almost certainly packs glass in his fragile mandible, so he would be destroyed regularly if he had chosen to participate in a high level sport like boxing. Which is precisely why he hasn't.
It`s easier to be knocked out with small MMA gloves, Fury has stated he is willing to fight Ngannou with MMA gloves.
If he had a good boxing trainer from tyhe age of 20 he could have been quite good but he wouldn`t have any amateur experience so would be out-classed by elite heavies.
He took a flush head-kick to the face and didn't even flinch, he can take a shot very well.
Would almost certainly be stopped anyway due to his abysmal defence, but it would take numerous rounds for that to happen.
Seems like we have a lot of Ngannou haters here, "he'll be **** like he is in MMA", a lot of people still mad he beat Gane im assuming.
Hard to tell really, its like asking how Fury would do in the UFC if he started training in his teens.
He could probably be fringe top 30ish now, and I dont think he would have gotten much further than that if he started in his 20s tbh. But being a fringe top 30ish HW boxer is not preferable to be a top UFC HW, especially now that you can use your name value from the UFC to walk into fights with Fury without ever having a boxing match.
Comes to the MMA sub forum, hates MMA....
He wouldn't get away with MMA level PEDs, which would hamper him quite a bit.
He would still be dangerous and KO people.
He would gas so badly over 12 that the game plan for better opposition would be to survive 3-4 rounds, then box him and win on points or get a TKO.
Power is power, so that would count for something. But his technique is woeful. Any halfway decent boxer for lump him up something awful.
He would do about as good as Derrick Lewis. Two big lumps with heavy power and very limited actual skills.
His original goal was boxing but his coach told him in France that he should do MMA instead, Ngannou didn't even know what MMA was at the time.
