    What if it happened the other way around, and Mayweather doin the headbutt, tries a sorry hug for Ortiz and catching that KO punch...

    Do you think "protect yourself at all times" argument would still come out?

    I honestly think victor would of got DQ'd. The ref would of said he didnt restart the fight and victor's punches would have been deemed illegal. Real talk

    People would be cheering Ortiz and the KO would stand. Fight was on. Ortiz would be a hero in the eyes of the public.

    yes protect yourself at all times .. You have no idea, in the heat of battle what your opponent is thinking, or what they thought they heard.

    Some fighters during a fight say they heard the bell sound , some say they may have heard the ref say "break", some are just down right crazy..

    In any case, when the adrenaline is on RED line you keep your dame hands up.
