Probably the greatest specimen ever in boxing. The guy had the size, reach, tremendous hand speed, and dynamite right hand to boot.

But like always, with many gifts comes some weakness. Thomas suffered 3 brutal knockouts to 2 great champions and a decision to another good champion (iran barkley).

So like the thread says, what if hearns chin stands up and he cruises to the decision against leoenard and barkley (first fight)??? Does he now sit within the top 10-15 all-time??

I think to have left 147 undefeated and having beaten Leonard would be a massive thing for Hearns, even allowing for Hagler KOing him at 160 he'd be very close to top 15. I tend to think the Barkley KO as a less of a strike against Hearns than the Leonard one.

I agree. If he beat Leonard then top 15 all time no doubt. Definiteley top 5 at 147 lbs with a win over Leonard at Welterweight then leaving the division undefeated.
