Regardless of if he threw him under the buss for his training camp, what would have happened if Kenny porter had let the fight go on? I mean, there were no monster shots, it was his last fight, he was up and ready, a true prizefighter and was winning the fight? Imo he should've been allowed to go out on his shield. He had the tools to survive and he was well capable of shaking out the cobwebs. Your thoughts? Also, father and son teams almost always breed contempt. Look at Tito and Tito Sr. Jack and Shane Mosley. Nonito and his pops, etc etc.

KO 10 or 11 Crawford, but it was too early. (Not joking)

I think a prizefighter should always be given the benefit of the doubt if he can still protect himself. I'm not talking about Tito KD ,#5 of Vargas though

At the time I genuinely thought that he wasn't hurt too bad and would probably survive the round, even though there was just under 2 mins left I just assumed he would back up for the rest of the round and survive, so when his corner stopped it I was shocked.

Like I get that Crawford is a good finisher but at the time I wasn't thinking Porter was on the verge of getting stopped, more that he would be pissed for lunging in and getting caught twice in quick succession.

I think he would of lost the fight from that point though.

Crawford was already zoomed in on Porter, and the ending was coming it was just a matter of time. Crawford is one of the best finishers in boxing and if he hurts you hes going to try to finish you no doubt.

The referee probably would have stopped it later that round.

Poor Shawn, can never catch a break. I think his legacy is that he took on all comers and fought everybody, didn't duck noone. I still think him and Pacquiao would have been a great fight!

Who knows. Crawford obviously had the edge so he probably wins by later stoppage or UD.

This, Porter is seasoned, he's making it to the end.

He probably would’ve went down one more time in the same round and been stopped by the ref this time.

Porter should of been given the chance to continue there still was some fight left in him clearly based on his response to being stopped but the outcome was inevitable. Crawford had figured him out and was now timing his rushes with hard left hands to the body or head and in his state with more than half a round to go it would of been hard to make it out of that round, he was very likely getting stopped in the 10th even without his fathers intervention and clearly that's what his father thought too.

Anything can happen when you don't ****ing quit. They had no strategy, to hold, to survive, nothing. He wasn't even hurt that bad. How many times did Corrales go down in the 10th against Castillo.

Porter was on his way out, he went down too quick the second time. I wanted the fight to continue because Crawford was about to put him all the way to sleep. Pops didn't wanna see his son beat into submission and I can't really blame him.

Yeah, there was half the round left and Porter was going to get savaged by Bud, Shawn hasn't a great defense and him being hurt means he have gotten nailed even more plus when a strong guy like Shawn hits the canvas twice it means he's done. His Dad didn't want to watch him get completely knocked out

Judging by Porters body language i think he had checked out and had enough he wasnt going to quit but he would go down in Crawford next barrage of punches and the ref would have stopped it.
