Hi classic, Hook here, what IF when a 29 year old Tyson finished his 4 year prison term, he stepped through a crack in time And was TIME WARPED to teh present time?! SO instead of making a comeback in 1995, it would be 2012 instead!! 17 years in teh future, fighting VS these similar opponents listed below on teh years shown, does Tyson do BETTER or WORSE in a comeback from 2012 to 2022 then he did from 1995 to 2005?

    (McNeely) - "Traveller" Tyson Fury - 2012

(Mathis JR) "Potty" Potvetkin - 2012

    (Bruno) - Tony "TITS" Thompson - 2013

    (Seldon) - Audley "A-FARSE" Harrison - 2013

    (Holyfeild) - VITLAY - 2013

(Holyfield) - VITLAY - 2014 (does Tyson ear-bite in rematch if he loses this war?!)

2015 - BANNED (for ear-biting OR a inactivity if Tyson does not ear-bite VITLAY in rematch)

(Botha) - Tommy "Pooey Plumer" Adamek - 2016

    (Norris) - "Fa

    (Francis) - "Sprouts" Sprott - 2017

    (Savareze) - Alex Dimitrienko - 2017

    (Golota) - "Hagen-Daz" Helenius - 2017

(Nielsen) - "Burger van man" Arreola - 2018

    (Lewis) - "Cowardly Lion" WALDO - 2019

(Ettienne) - Derek "Belly Boyo" Chisora - 2020

(Danny Williams) - David "he's NOT nice" Price - 2021

(Bummy McBride) - "SLOTH" Mariuszzzz Wach - 2022

    --------------------------------------------------------

DOES Tyson do better then 9-5 (+2NC) VS this lot??

WHAT outcome to you guess for them fights??

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3 people offer to train Tyson - Freddie Roach, Teddy Atlas And 50 Cent
    - Tyson choses 50 Cent, for being a "straight up G".

3 people offer to manage Tyson - Bobby Arum, Donny King And MC Hammer - Tyson choses King, cos "he loves me like a son".

Andy Golota was TK02 from his Fractured-face Quitjawb, BUT teh post-fight druggie tests showed Tinkerbell was on a date with "maryjane" before teh fight so NC! Bloody stupid commision.

Tyson would be having round robins with the Klitschkos. He could probably fight the other guys every other week they're so bad.

Yeah, I know Hook. And it's silly.

It's not exactly weekly injections of Winny V ad a couple IU of HGH every other day. If anything, it couldve potentially hindered his performance in the ring.

The predominent style of the top heavyweights right now is that of coming for, fighting in the pocket, and throwing big shots.

Even a badly faded Tyson, because of his combination of chin, speed and power, has an advantage in these type of contests. His skills were not anything to write home about at this point, as he had abandoned the few things in his repertoire that were actually sophisticated, but Tyson was never a tremendously cultured fighter: He was a physical phenomenon, and while those gifts had diminished, they were intact enough to make him the most gifted heavyweight in the division.

I think he'd struggled with guys like Liakhovich and Chambers. I think he'd clip Sergei eventually, and would, gun to my head, pick him to do the same to Chambers, though I would also bet he'd be behind on the cards.

The Klitschko's pound him, though. They have gifts of their own to avoid getting blown away early, and without Tyson's extreme use of angles in his attack and his terrific dips to body punching(His single most formidable weapon at his peak), he would just be out of his class against them. No version of Tyson post 90 has a prayer of getting past Wlad's jab, and without his very best speed, power, attack, and FOCUS(Rooney's discipline contributed to minimizing Tyson's mental weaknesses in his prime years), Vitali would just be too much man for him, beating him up and making him quit.

He'd do well, probably be a top 5 guy, but he'd be decisively beaten by either brother. And considering post prison it took a matter of years for his deterrioration to worsen, he wouldn't stay so near to the top for long. In the end, I think he'd go 9-5 again. He'd lose to the brothers, and in the end of his career, the very end, when he had lost just about everything, I have no trouble seeing any other mediocre heavyweight beating him. Pretty sure Price is going to end up better than Williams, and the Tyson that fought McBride was open to lose to anybody who could go rounds and manage to fight back.

    Magna,

Was there ever a time when you couldve sparred with Mike or did the opportunity never present itself? I know youve mentioned you have been in with just about everybody who's anybody of the 90s lot (incl. George, Holy, Tua) with the exception of Tyson.

My father inquired about doing a camp with Mike once, but they declined.

I completely understand. No need to bring a huge, heavy handed, hyper aggressive superheavyweight leftie to camp when all he'd be doing was try to make a name for himself. I would have tried to prove the early comparisons leveled towards myself as a southpaw Big George Foreman true, and swung for the fences.

Not fear, not respect, probably not even deference. I just seriously doubt I brought ANYTHING to the package that Mike was looking for in a training partner besides being from the same town originally. I was stylistically and physically unique, not good sparring for any opponent. This was before Moorer came on the heavyweight scene, when all of a sudden, I was in hot demand.

I met Mike about 4 years later. It was unpleasant, he was as rude and mean spirited as any fighter I've ever met. He's changed a lot since those days.

    Interesting stuff, thanks man.

Too bad about that run-in. That type of stuff can shape a personal opinion real easily, but it doesnt show in your posts. Always seems luck of the draw. A friend of mine ran into him at the mall in Scottsdale in '05 when he was still living in Paradise Valley, AZ and managed to get a sig with about 20 other flockers before he wrapped it up.

Agree he beats the non title holders, but don't beat Wlad or Vitali or posibly Povetkin. But he would have a punchers chance. The Tyson of the Rudock fights beats them though.

He would do like he always did, duck the best if possible then lose to anyone with a pulse.

Even the post prison Tyson would have had enough left to have beaten all of the fighters you mention. Except for the brothers Klitschko.
