what about marquez, PBF, Pacquaio, Klitschko, Pavlik, calzaghe, Cotto, Williams, mijares, malignaggi, etc, do you think they'd get the gold in their respective divisions if they were to fight now in beijing under olympic rules? the mexicans seems to have a lot of champions today in the pro, would you think they would reign as well in the olypics sending these pro champions to beijing?

professionals have more experience in hurtful competitions and the reason they can't compete is that boxing officials are afraid amateurs would be beaten up badly. so do you think the same pro champs today would win gold medals in the olympics?

It's not because they're afraid they'll be hurt. It's because they compete in an entire different system that revolves around entertainment and knock outs; and amateur boxing doesn't. That and for some reason the AIBA has very strict amateurism rules.

lol he started at the olympics, all his antics about money is meant to secure a bigger purse for his fights. he'd appear in WWE for 3M dollars, he'd appear in the olympics too if all the best would go there for popularity's and legacy's sake.

Who knows - amateur boxing and pro boxing are two different things. Amateur boxing is like fistfencing, and is only over a couple of rounds. Slow starters wouldn't have a chance here.

If I had to put a country up there, it has to be Cuba. They represent each division - unlike ie Mexico - and they know how to perfect amateur boxing.
