What would people think of him today? Still a legend or a bum who had no heart? Discuss

I think he would not have been considered a bum. Listen, he is an ATG now but he should have behaved in this fight. IMO he would have been still great.

yeah, the never-beaten-at-the-weight lightweight champion with the most defenses of the true crown in the history of that division, one-time welterweight champion, with a record of 72-2 and wins over ray leonard, buchanan, dejesus 2x, palomino, marcel, ishimatsu, lampkin, viruet 2x, kobayashi, etc would be regarded as a bum just because of one fight.

Totally. That's totally how it would go. Totally.

It's not about Hamed, It's about what you think what people would have said and thought about Roberto if he stayed retired after this fight.

I totally agree, he is no bum, but he should have behaved in the fight. But what he did had horrible concequenses. He went into hiding.

Except Duran was the greatest lightweight ever and had already moved up and defeated the second-best welterweight ever, so the Naz comparison is just ... really f*cking stupid.

My opinion on this matter is clear and simple and might have just gone over your head.

(Hamed at the time was considered by some as one of the greatest feathers) so Once again, get your head out your ass and think Hamed:good

No-one could possibly have ranked him as one of the 3 best featherweights ever and Duran's win over SRL is greater than Naz' entire career, so the comparison still doesn't make much sense.

had he retired his record would have been something like 75-2
    with multiple world titles
