Martinez had all the advantages: height, reach, southpaw, fast, elusive, skilled

That's why Floyd wouldn't even consider to fight him at 154

    Troublesome qualities? I think not...

Floyd beat fighters who had height advantages.
Floyd beat fighters who had reach advantages.
Floyd is undefeated against southpaws, having fought several.
Floyd has never struggled with hand speed.
Floyd has never struggled with foot speed.
Floyd is undefeated against skilled fighters, having fought several far more skilled than Sergio.

    OK, now my turn:

An offense with his hands by his hips, a defense based around having his hands by his hips, had to rest at least 4 rounds out of 12, below average chin relative to a champion even in his prime, below average inside fighting game... He wouldn't be successful going in and out with his offense against Floyd at all. He already wastes tons of energy with movement and no fighter ever had success emphasizing or game planning foot movement or foot speed against Floyd. In my opinion his offensive style and tendencies aren't what troubles Floyd, contrary to what many folks 6 years ago wanted to believe. As for Sergio's defense in a match versus Floyd? Ha.

Is Martinez' "prime" his one punch KO victory over Paul Williams or is there alot more substance to these ATG claims?

    Mayweather schools Martinez.

Martinez was a small mw, forme ww.

Floyd is smarter, just as fast and technically superior.

What's Floyds record against southpaws? 9-0?

Floyd was getting manhandled by a one dimensional plodder in maidana.

Don't forget how Floyd went quiet after Sergio made quick work of pwill.

Sr throws in the towel in the 9th.

Lets not forget how Floyd didn't even acknowledge sergios 70-30 percent offer at 150lbs.

They said the same about maidana.

I'll bet the house on Sergio.

Without a weight specified it's impossible to speculate. We never saw Floyd operate at 160 so we have no idea how he'd fare at that high a weight class.

I keep envisioning this fight trying to think of what Sergio could bring to the table to trouble Floyd. Floyd is too risk averse to be baited in while Sergio leans in with his hands at waist level looking for counters. Sergio could find some success walking Floyd down and pinning him against the ropes but his footwork and level of aggression isn't good enough to do it consistently. Perhaps if Sergio was totally unfazed by Floyd's punching power and decided to just go James Kirkland style on him then things could get very interesting and maybe he'd do that out of desperation by round 10 or so. Sergio would basically have to sell out because nothing else would work to his benefit.

I guess Sergio cutting up pavlik, schooling the **** out of cruiserweight Chavez or taking the Paul Williams fight on 2 weeks notice and almost getting a decision meant nothing to you. Seems like a boring ass Floyd ud is more your taste. To each his own. Sergios fights were exciting , can't say the same for Floyd.

The *****s panties got moist when they seen Floyd walking down Omar Henry though, Sergio offered Floyd 70 percent at 150. Floyd was like no thank you ill pass on that ass beating. Guess he took his uncle Roger and seniors advice.

Hey bro you can explain it to them any which way they still wont acknowledge it. Golovkin and pirog only names not on sergios resume.

And if anyone remembers golovkin was to fight pirog and the winner would face Martinez for the strap.

Pirog hurt his back though, allegedly.

bro Sergio said he would come down to 150 and take the 30 or 20 percent cut , tue was still acting like Sergio didn't exist despite Sergio calling out floyd in his postfight interviews.
