He would be top 5, but he does not deserve any respect he cared only about making some money or he would get in shape, in CUban national team he was fit as pro he was joke!
Being fat for so many years gives you a lot of wear and tear on the body. He would be done now even if he got lean and ripped. If he stayed in shape from the AMs though, that's a different story.
If Solis was in shape, he would become an inspiration! James Toney would come back as a ripped middleweight and school GGG. Chris Arreola would give up boxing and go on to win the Mr. Universe Bodybuilding contest and have a career as an action star that puts Arnold's to shame. Gerald Nobles would will replace Mike Chang as the internet's number on sixpack abs guru. The forum would finally stop with the Dustin Nicols jokes, because he'd be Undisputed Light Heavyweight weight champ of the world after KOing Kovalev with a check jab. The airline industry would collapse however; due to all the flying pigs interfering with their routes.
He wouldn't be anything less than Luis Ortiz that's for sure. He could actually be the closes thing to Riddick Bowe in his era.
Who cares. He already wasted his career. If he was in shape he would of been very good. His talent was undeniable. He joins a long list of guys with talent but no drive.
This question reminds me of what my coach frequently told me...that if I were 6'6 I'd be playing in the NBA. I guess that's a nice way of saying I was too short. I'm not going to grow those extra inches, it's not happening, especially at my age. In fact, it has about as much chance of happening as Solis does coming into the ring in shape. He ate away his chance, I do not feel sorry for him. He gets what he deserves.
There's video footage of Ali Raymi kicking the **** out of Solis when he was probably barely a heavyweight
