If Taylor beats Abraham decisively ( given that the fight is in Germany! ) what does that say about Frochs win? Will people then say that Abraham was unproven at the weight. What if Froch also beats Dirrell, will those who are saying that Dirrell has mad talent suddenly say he was never anything special as a pro? I've already formed my opinions....
I think you better start forming opinions about possible losses by Froch... Look, he showed a lot of guts and stamina against Taylor and Taylor is the type of fighter who can be beaten just by these two attributes. Just as Pavlik did in the rematch. A skilled fighter who can fight hard and focused for 12 rounds will be Froch's undoing, unless he quantum leaps to a new level of skill himself.
I think Taylor will redeem himself in this tournament.I think he stops Abraham. I just love the way people keep pointing out how easy it is to beat Taylor ? Please remind us how many people HAVE actually beaten him ?
I don't believe that Froch is unbeatable and I acknowledge his deficiencies. I think a lot of fighters can be beaten by guts, stamina and resolve though. They're massively under rated qualities in a fighter. Many people don't like Froch because he isn't a "pure boxer" and is following Calzaghe which would cast a massive shadow over anyone. Even if he doesn't win the tournament I'm convinced the Cobra is going to leave a lot of people eating their words.
If Taylor wins he'll prove that he deserves to be in this tournament for his boxing skill, not just his name. I thought they should have put Bute in instead of Taylor.
Damn right. Taylor used to gas at 160 cos he had trouble making the weight. He "gassed" against Froch cos of massive punches to the jaw. Late in the fight the commentators were saying that "he (Taylor) looks like he's got plenty of gas" Taylor was punching well going into the 11th till Froch caught him a beauty and scrambled his eggs.
Some will say Abraham just came to 168... Some frochettes will say Froch is a God... I will say: Very good win for Taylor. Very good win for Froch the first time. Bring on Taylor Froch II.
So this is a Froch thread? If Taylor convincingly beats Abraham it wont mean **** for Froch. Froch needs to go at least two and one in the first part of this tourney to be totally legit. Styles make fights and if Taylor advances and Froch doesnt then itll look like Taylor jus ran out of gas against a lesser fighter.
