What If the legendary "Thriller in manilla" had a different outcome?

    Ali came close to knocking him out before that point and had knocked his mouthpiece into the cheap seats. Frazier was blind and had no defense against Ali.

    All of these scenarios are designed to try to give legitimacy to what Dave Wolf tried to claim in that Manila documentary, that Joe Frazier was Ali’s equal in the ring. He was stupendously great, one of the greatest who ever stepped into the ring, and he beat him in maybe the greatest heavyweight fight ever staged, but at the end of the day he was not Ali’s equal.

    I imagine Frazier would be rated a bit higher and Ali a bit lower.

    But most likely with people still rating Ali over Frazier.
