Morrison was signed by Don King and set for a comeback. Could he have scored a big upset win, or win another alphabet title with the backing of Don King?

The year was 1996. Fights with Morrer, Tyson, Holyfield, Holmes, McCall, or Bowe could have been made, and by 1996, most of the above names were on the slight decline already.

Look into your " what if " cyrstal ball and tell me what you see.

Oh, Morrison easily could of picked up a title somewhere along the line with decent match making.

He could've won a title, but I think his chin was too poor to challenge any of the better fighters of the time.
He did have the power though, so you can't count out an upset.

He still wouldn't do much, because he is old and his chin is obviously the same or even worse. I liked a prime Morrison, but this current Morrison even changed his style up from what i have read so him being effective even against the fringe contenders is something that i don't see happening.

I don't think that Morrison was destined to do anything spectacular in boxing, regardless of weather he had chosen to use condoms or not... His fights with Ross Purity, Michael Bent, Ray Mercer, Joe Hipp and an aging Carl Williams showed me that he was extremely limited. Being the nephew of the great actor John Wayne Morrison, having starred in a Rocky sequal, and being white in an era where there were no real good caucasion fighters, Morrison was a media gimmick. Outside of a mere puncher's chance, I would not have picked him to beat Wladimir Klitschko or any of the other titlists over the last 10 years for that matter.

Morrison would of won some more and lost to some unremarkable fighters just like actually did. He was very limited but also one of the most entertaining fighters of the era.

I think Morrison at his best, was good enough to beat Ruddock, and Foreman. Wins over Morrer, and off night Holyfield, or the Bowe who faced Goltoa were not out of the quesiton.

It's sad because Morrison could box. He convincingly beat comeback Foreman by preparing himself to go 12 rounds and actually studying old tapes of Jimmy Young with his trainers.

He could of gone places if he'd worked on that aspect of his game more.

The is a HIV treatment medicene you can take that stops you testing positive for HIV, Morrisons ex-girlfriend claimed he used this when getting back negative test results. There are other tests that would prove conclusively that Morrison did or did not have HIV, Morrison didnt get these taken.

Its not illegal to lie about HIV status

But the Morrison who beat Foreman got starched in a round by Bentt, the Morrison who went life and death with innactive way past prime Ruddock was starched by Lennox in a 1sided bout. It wasnt like he was stopped at the height of his powers

Maybe the better question is what if Morrison faced a 1994 Moorer, or 1995 Foreman or an off night Holyfield/Bowe. But I doubt he'd be favourate over 1994 Moorer and any version of Bowe/Holyfield starches him, he just couldnt goto war and win with either of those 2

Tommy is done. And unfortunetly will go under the wasted talent category like many other athletes.

Morrison himself stated that with limites amateur background(tough man comps) and at the time of his loss to Lewis(Morrison was only 25) he was still learning ways to fully utilise his power and skillset.

Ohwell he ****ed too many lowies. The rest is history.
