WHAT IF TONY THOMPSON lands the shot, and upsets Wlad

Then Wladimir would simply rematch him in a lucrative fight, and correct the fluke. . .

And if Thompson wanted it again, he'd then straighten it out once more. . .


But of all the heavies who have a chance to catch Wlad, and drop him with one shot, it's not Thompson. . . Thompson has a chance to win rounds against Wlad, but he doesn't have that "one shot n' drop" power. . . Alhtough I admit, being a HUGE fan of Wladimir, he is always susceptible to getting KO'd. . But I highly doubt Tony is the man to do it. .

 

Every time Wlad fights someone will come up with this question, but the last time it happened was 8 years ago and against a much bigger puncher.

Of course there's always the chance so that's why Tony gets about 1/20 odds.
Funny thing is whatever the odds, some here favour ANY opponent Wlad faces over him. First ridiculing it as a cherrypick, and then picking the 'worthless' opponent to win by KO. :yep

If that actually happened, dare I say it would be as big of an upset as Buster Douglas over Mike Tyson? That might not be far off. It doesn't matter though because the likelihood of that happening is about the same as the Death Star being built by Lockheed-Martin tomorrow.

 

A lucky money shot is the only chance Tiger Tony has.

 

Douglas comprehensively out boxed Tyson. Beat him to the punch and wore him down. Tiger Tone needs to land something huge as he will never out box the champ.

Uhhh yeah? Did I not make it clear enough that he has no chance? That's why I said, it would be as big of an upset as Douglas-Tyson. Thompson doesn't have the technical skills to do to Klitschko what Douglas did to Tyson. Am I missing something here?
