I don't think the best version of Tyson would beat the best version of Lennox Lewis.

    Too good to be true

there will never be a fighter like that.

In some ways....ALL fighters have been exposed in some way or the other at one point or another. Even if for minor points.

Wilder is not 5'10/68" Marciano or 5'11"/72" Tyson

    31-0-0-0 (KO 31) 6'8"/84"

the best thing for him would have been to retire after the Spinks fight.

dude life spent out of control after that.

He never was the same fighter after he left Rooney.

    to many problems

I was around at the time and had Mike retired prior to the Douglas fight he would certainly have been rated no worse than 3rd best of all time and probably no one would argue if he was labelled the GOAT.

But that never happened and his mental weaknesses became apparent, and since boxing is as much mental as anything, fighters like Holyfield and Lewis would have always given him problems.

I'd say now he's ranked by most anywhere from 9-12ish, but to many had he retired undefeated, and prior to his mental shortcomings, it would have been between him Ali and Louis as to who the GOAT is.

He would have been remember as the most devistating boxer of all time, GOAT? I don't think so

I'd have to disagree with this, Wlad overrated? Sure.... but Vitali? Not for me, Vitali is a compete badass who just didn't get the opportunity to shine against great fighters, he'd give problems to most great HWs, he's the definition of a true fighter, just a pitty we nvr got to see him tested

I dont think it was mentally tyson was never the same fighter after rooney dude became a one punch brawler and his crazy life.

dude should have retired after the spinks fight or divorced robin givens and took some time off the sport like a year or two
