I think they would make Vitali into another WBA "super" beltholder if he fought (& obviously beat) Povetkin. Then they would create another "regular" WBA belt. In such a senario, with Wlad & Vitali both WBA "super" beltholders, the WBA would become as crapola & worthless as the IBO belt imo. :yep
It's even funnier if Wlad beats the WBA regular champion. How do they manage that? a) 2x Super Champ? b) Super Regular Champ? c) Super Duper Champ? d) Pretend nothing happened and the "regular" is vacant again? :huh
He would be the Interim Super Champion in recess or something like that. Makes perfect sense. ****ing sanction bodies atsch
If I was Vitali I would be pissed as F with his brother stealing all the glory. Vitali needs to add another belt. He should demand that he gets the Super belt if he unifies or threaten a class action law suit.
Unified champion perhaps. Gamboa held the regular WBA featherweight title and fought Jorge Solis for the vacant IBF title. When he won he became The "Unified WBA Champion" and IBF Champion since Chris John was already the WBA (super) Champion. I see now however that Boxrec have him listed as the WBA (Super) Champion now. Confusing:huh
If Wlad beats Povetkin (Wlad would win, i just mean "IF" they fight), then maybe they will strip Wlad of his "super" WBA & "regular" WBA belts... give Wlad a new "Super Duper" WBA belt, then allow contenders to fight for the "super" & "Regular" WBA belts... then Wlad will beat those beltholders, & become the "Super Duper Pooper Scooper" WBA Champion! :rofl
