Yeah but George found a perfect way to conserve energy. Only his arms moved. The rest of his body and head were perfectly motionless most of the time.

Looks to me like Vitali doesn't move around too much either. He usually waits for the opponent to come to him and counters. Furthermore, if people in their sixties, seventies and beyond can still run marathons, why must we imagine Klitscho dropping from fatigue at a mere 46? Did Bernard drop from fatigue at age 50 against Kov?

The Foreman-Vitali comparison is useless anyway. Vitali is in better shape than Foreman was at that age, and Foreman was never in the same league as Vitali was.

Wilder would freeze with fear at the sight of the eternal one in the ring. He might be the first champion in boxing history brought into the ring on a stretcher as his legs fail to produce locomotion, a new belt should be struck to mark the milestone once said stretcher carts him out for real later.

vitali cannot get up from his mayors job and run a marathon, nevermind me. foreman had a massive comeback length spanning half a decade, and was the exception to the rule if there ever was one.

Besides which, you trying to win an argument by asking me, a non-athlete, if he can run a marathon, smacks of the worst kind of desperation in losing an argument, its not far off asking a middleaged forum user -

    " can YOU win a world title? can u?? can u?? NO - so u r wrong!!"

I really think you can do better than to resort to that, you seem an intelligent chap.

True, Vitali seems to be in better shape than Foreman was sat the same age since he carried more body fat. But in terms of stamina he wasn't affected by it. In fact, Foreman had more endurance at age 46 than he had when he fought Ali and others at that younger age. Usually he used to peter out in the later rounds. Ali noticed this and took advantage of it.

    BTW
Not sure what you mean by Foreman never being in Vitali's league though.

Desperation? Losing an argument? You are totally misperceiving. I am not in a state of desperation. I am merely attempting to participate in a calm rational discussion about an interesting subject-nothing more. The reason I ask if you can participate in a marathon is because you seem to assume that at 46 Vitali can't muster the stamina to box 12 rounds. In short, your premise is seriously flawed. Pointing that out ís simply a basic part of argumentation and not indicative of desperation.

Also, whether or not Vitali can leave his mayor's job is irrelevant to whether he can compete at that age if he wanted to. In any case, Pac has a senator's job and regularly participates by delegating responsibilities to his staff or subordinates. I think it's safe to assume that Vitali has a staff of subornments as well. You know, along the lines of assistant mayor?

then why ask if I can run a marathon as part of your argument? thats clearly not rational, so you are at odds with what you claim about yourself.

my fitness has no bearing on an argument for another persons. We are mutually exclusive persons.

you know the differences between retired athletes and those in training, and between a 37 year and and a 46 year old. You know Foreman had years of tune-ups to get to a partial semblance of his former self. So why ask what you just did when you know your case doesnt work?

If Vitali can just get back to 50% of what he was in his prime he'll beat this guy:

Your fitness isn't an issue in this case unless it becomes relevant to your declarations which involves an overgeneralization. That you can't see or refuse to see how it is relevant to your overgeneralization then I guess there is no use in continuing this conversation. Let's just agree to disagree. Peace!
