i can remember harold howard throwing some sort of reverse flipping spiked heel kick and connecting the first time, and brutally missing the second fight. i can see the big kicks like those having a low connect percentage
atsch Harold howard is not a kickboxer Badr Hari is on another level. Actually he is boxing in the 2012 olympics representing morocco, he is 6'6 235 lbs these days This content is protected
Im glad you enjoyed the highlight I made BTW Badr is planning on coming to america to work with roach
very impressed by your work man, keep it up. Hari should work on his defense, I don't know if Roach is the guy to go to.
Those titles mean nothing compared to K-1. That is like James Toney saying he is the HW champ of the world Everyone is knocked out in kickboxing, having to defend for kicks and knees leaves u open. Even Vitali(who has never been shaken in boxing) was brutally knocked out twice in kickboxing, once by spinning heel kick.
eh.. he has stomped/soccer kicked on the heads on two downed opponents, it is how he lost both of his titles respectively by disqualification.. He took a year hiatus from the sport to find himself and come back stronger, here is a video i made documentating his return fight. (Gregory Tony, you may remember him as a boxer from the Prizefighter HW UK series... also got KO'd by Robert Helenius.. Badr made short work 1st round KO) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUKuaHnIwdA&feature=channel_video_title[/ame]
didnt think he was. was just referencing the high risk flashy kicks and how one could get hurt if the kick missed due to being so open. i said i dont know much about combat sports, not combat. id love to see a true combat jui-jit-su man fight any of the k1 champs in a no holds barred match. the fighting area would be littered with k1 eyeballs, k1 testicles, k1 digits... for the head kicks, the only time id ever even think of throwing one would be if the guy was already reeling and there were a lot of girls around...but that was another time.
You cannot compare jj to K1. JJ mainly consists of ground combat, throws and locks and you just don´t have that in K1...
i was just discussing other forms of combat. boxing, kickboxing, and k1 are obviously all different sports. i still think it would be awesome if a boxer could cross over and dominate in one of those other games or sports. honestly, i would also like to see someone who breaks the rules of his sport fight someone who knows no rules, like a combat jj man. would be pretty humbling. however, that being said, i wonder how this badr dude will do in straight boxing. could he possibly be a sleeper surprise athlete to walk david hayes talk?
has he been knocked out with strikes or just kicks? his chin might be better if he only needed to defend punches as well maybe?
