A Russian, A Russian getting a gift in the US at this moment in time? No way, never happening. If Ward loses by decision then he lost BIG.
Of course I will. I am not that emotionally invested in who wins this fight. I will be the first to admit that Kovalev did a lot better in the first fight than I thought he would. I thought Ward would give him a boxing lesson but it turned out that the decision could have gone either way in my opinion and I would not have had a problem if Kovalev had got the decision.
Depends on how wide the scores are. One or two points is controversial. If I score it 116-112 for one guy, then a judge has it 117-111 for the other, then that's highly suspicious. Robbery gets tossed around too much. People need to understand that there's plenty of wiggle room in boxing scoring. Not everyone is going to agree. Look at Joshua vs Klitschko; I had Klitschko up, others had Joshua up. We need to accept that there isn't one absolute score.
1. Any delusional fool who thinks fans of a fighter won't be crying in the case of an arguable robbery can punch themselves in the face repeatedly. 2. I've got Ward in the rematch. 3. I had Kovalev winning the first fight but can and do accept Ward edging the decision (ergo: it was not a robbery per se). 4. I like Ward more than Kovalev in terms of being a fan of boxing. 5. Enjoy the fight.
It's almost impossible to get a UD against Ward, even if you win the fight, as evidenced by the last decision. SK won that fight. Did he slow down later in the fight? Yeah, but SK still won it. I just don't think Ward is that special. And it bugs me when they keep showing him at the top of so many pound for pound lists. He is not exciting. He makes it a point to try to outpoint his opponent each round, which he does most of the time. But, come on, this is boxing. Only his biggest diehard fans find his style entertaining. Guys like Max Kellerman, who likes to always point out that Ward hasn't lost since he was a kid. OK, great, but how about an entertaining fight. I want to see guys who press the action and come to fight. After all, it is called a Fight, not a Score.
I'm amazed that fight was scored a UD though. I mean statistically 30% of the people had Ward winning. At the very least I'd expect one judge to be part of the 70% and score the fight to Kova but nop, all three judges arrived at the same in the minority conclusion. To me that's fishy.
Unfortunately we dont have the Great Joespe Calzaghe to put this arrogant little smug upstart in his place Sergey KO him anyway so it'll be like totally lolz, like totally depchant
