This legal stuff stinks. He's had like 2 fights in 3 years. I think it will be for being a good boxer who never fulfilled his potential, wouldn't go on the road to fight and wouldn't move up to 175 once he had cleared out his division.

Here are some suggestions for Dre

    - Why not accounce his retirement and cite health problems?

That would break his contract. Retirement clauses etc.

He should then re-announce his comeback under a new name. Infact, change his name via deed poll which would then mean he has to pass the commision tests all over again. His name and signature binds him to Gooosen. A new 'identity' does not.

He needs a Harvey Specter advising him instead of James Price.

Andre Ward will be remembered fondly by his disciples- which is what he calls his fans....

Not because he's called Son of God, because there is only 12 of them. :deal

There would be good and bad. He would always have hype and be a winner of millions of fantasy match ups, but we would not have seen Ward against a fast fighter, against a mover or against a top prime undefeated fighter or undefeated world champ.
I guess what would be going for him is having an 0.
I guess what would be against him is not being the away fighter, not fighting a top prime fighter, not fighting a top undefeated fighter, not fighting an undefeated champ and fighting the leftovers of a previous champ.
I would remember him as a good fighter where we never got to see how good

its a highly unlikely scenario, given hes, what, 30? whats the motive of the person who started such an unlikely thread ?jealousy is for losers.

hard to believe hes just turning 30 recently given hes accomplished more than any other smw in history bar of course longevioty (which you judge at the end of careers anyway).

He won't be remembered, that's the crux of it. 20/30 years time more people will be talking about Carl "The King of England" Froch - a guy who fought anybody and everybody, anywhere anytime any place - and a guy who is living a hell of a lot more comfortably.
