All those invasions helped form what we now know as modern day English people.

I seriously don't understand what is so hard for people to understand about this, or how people can be so easily be manipulated by the media to allow just about anybody to bear their ethnicity as their own as some form of redemption for perceived historical injustices against what are now minority groups.

But surely the genes means English people are just German, Celtic, Angle, Saxon and Norman?

They're a hodgepodge of those genes. The average Englishman is different than the average German, Scandinavian.

It does because it helps distinguish them as a different group of people.

    Moron self destruction once again.

New people in England or any other European country don't form that countries ethnicity because most European countries have been relatively genetically ****geneous for centuries or even for over a thousand years. Any breeding with outsiders would disrupt that ****geneity in an instance. That's the reason why Carl Froch and Tyson Fury don't look English.......... you ****ing re****.

    Re**** self destruction once again.

I'm still waiting for the sage like wisdom of a medical school student that only someone like yourself possesses to objectively prove to me that ethnicity and race are separable without delving into your sociology 101 bull****.

I'm not resorting to imaginary debates.

I made the assertion that a lot of the times ethnicity is something that is inherited by blood and as a birthright, and not something one can pick up nilly willy. (Joshua being born in the UK doesn't mean squat because he isn't a genetically native european). Can you honestly tell me that Tyson Fury looks like an average Englishman? O seriously couldn't. The typical English look is someone like David Price, and those two look very different.
