What if you let PBF be the Aggressor?

floyd used to press the action when he was at lower weight classes. i mean he wasn't a swarmer but he was more of a boxer puncher than an outboxer when he was at lower weights

 

His performance against Mosley was very good from the 3rd round. I know Mosley was shot but Floyd showed great boxing skills as the aggressor.

mayweather can be the aggresor but id like to see someone be really really defensive like just try and block his shots at the ropes or in the corner not to try and counter punch, use that tactic for the start of the fight, but the surpise factor would have to be key,

 

Spot on, infact I think it is a good idea to back him up at his age, if Mayweather is coming forward his back is off those ropes. Maidana did it and had success.

If you are not superior to Floyd on at least three of those he is gonna outbox you from the outside. How many boxers fit that profile?

Zab only had the speed, after a few rounds Mayweather took over.
Marquez only had the timing, terrible mismatch.
Canelo only had timing and got humiliated.

Only fighter who I can see fighting Mayweather competitively from the outside is Erislandy Lara. In the past Cory Spinks and Casamayor had the ability to do it.

 

I've wondered that for years, but I think he only picks opponents who have a come forward predictable style. Bradley or Lara would be excellent to see for their defense, the same as Pacquiao or Khan would be for their speed, and Golovkin for his power.
