yeah he would but Mayweather wants advantages. He doesn't do stuff like that and takes risks. To his credit, one of the greatest ever Marvin Hagler always wanted Hearns,Duran and Leonard to move up and fight him, and he wouldn't move up and fight Spinks. They were willing to take the risks, which is why I think they are greater than him. They had more guts to test themselves.
I agree with whomever made the good point that Mayweather defeating a prime Castillo is better than beating an old, beat up Morales AFTER he'd already beaten Pacquiao THEN lost to Rahim in his next fight before he fought Pac in the re-match. Their resumes shake up like that, but since when did losses and draws boost a resume? I can think of very few, like Whitaker's draw, but don't fool yourself, none of Pacquiao's L's or D's are good by any stretch. Nobody cared for the guy until 2006, and really, until he fought de la Hoya. He was the little dude who wore gay looking head-straps and made stupid faces when they announced his name. The hierarchy of boxing changes and adapts after each fight in a pyramid effect. And Mayweather is and has been at the top of the pyramid. Hence, "all roads lead to Floyd Mayweather." It is the truth.
Marquez was ranked P4P, just at a much lower weight class, or far fewer 'pounds'... 38yo Mosley was universally overrated after destroying a declawed Cheato...Cheato without loaded gloves is 1-2...Mosley has won 2 of last 5 fights, Cheato and Mayorga...
