I think he will have made plenty of improvements to Khan......

But it will all go straight out of the window once the bell rings - he is, still, essentially a novice, and the fighting brain of a goldfish.

The way to beat him is simply jump on him, throw all kinds of shots to head and body - because his chin is awful and he cannot fight on the inside full stop!

Whether ***an can do that I don't know having not seen him, but by Boxrecing he hardly looks like a pudding, so I will look forward to it.

I expect him to have shown no improvements but win by stoppage mid fight.

From the videos I saw, I don't think Roach helped Khan tackle his main deficiencies. The things they concentrated on will not make Khan a better fighter. Khan knows he's made a mistake and will try not to repeat it, and that has nothing to do with Roach either. However, training with Roach and Pacquiao in Las Vegas will have inspired Khan and given him his confidence back, whilst taking away all the pressure he was under. In my view, Khan needs a trainer who will concentrate on him and get to know him inside out. Roach is not that man. He doesn't have the time or energy to commit to Khan fully. In the meantime, the change of air will have done Khan a world of good. If I were him, I'd stay in Las Vegas and train and spar there but with a trainer who is prepared to focus on me 100%. Roach could still act like his mentor.

He'll have told Khan not to come out at the first bell and start swinging. He'll have told him to take a couple of rounds and try and get a measure of what his opponent can do.

does that mean he used to get KO'd in sparing ?

Im not sure Roach is the right man for Khan.

Its been said a million and one times Khan needs to work on his defense as he has always had an excellent offense prehaps one of the mayweathers would have been a better choice for him?

Jab and move, Double Jab, 3 and 4 combos. Roach kinda loves his Jab and thinks its his best weapon. And at Lightweight with his height and reach he bloody should work off it.

hes slimed khan down apparently on his back and upper body, and has put more muslce on his legs..

he used to be proper bulky up top, like a ****ing body builder, and got hit too easily

I would like to see Khan jab is heart out and fight for 12 rounds, i want to see head movement so he can slip shots, be more cooler headed and take his time.

You always hype Khan's opponents, though, jeff, and they lose almost every time.;)

Khan`s best defence will be his jab. More fighters should be taught this lesson. Roach will not try to change khan radically but he will know that if khan is hit clean and hard he will go down. Was it Khan who was saying that he was chinny because in sparring he was not getting hit and therefore wasn`t used to it? If it was then it is daft-talk.
Khan also needs to keep his hands up and use the early rounds to weaken his opponent. I think its too late to teach him better head movement but if he is a good learner then it would be a good long term project.
I think Khan will win some massive bouts , spectacularly, but i also think he will lose others, ignominiously. One thing is for sure, it won`t be a dull ride.
BTW the word from the Wildcard is that he was a great guy and sparred brilliantly with Pacquiao. However he hated Hollywood and missed his friends and family.
