Wilder has called it crack money, peanuts and a lowball offer but what does he think Joshua is getting out of this? To feel 15 Million is peanuts suggests Wilder still thinks this must be a 100 million dollar fight. I think at the end of the day, if this fight was made, if Wilder had signed his contract rather than Finkel sitting on it we would see that Percentage wise 15 Million is not half as bad as some people are making it out to be.

As a big AJ fan ive always said Wilder should get a percentage not a flat fee but that isnt how this seems to be going. But i dont think 15 is the truly awful offer some people are makin it out to be.

Nobody knows what AJ will get.

Thats the risk of putting up multy millions, the ones risking the money get the lions share of the rewards or everyone stops risking money.

Hearn wants AJ to get at least 50 mill and if he can make him more even better.

If AJ gets koed by Wilder than that will be worth the risk.

If Wilder knocks AJ out watch how Wilder then does the same freaking thing to his opponents just has always been done by the recognized champ.

How stupid have Wilder ball suckers become?

All Wilder has to do is take 15 mill for the chance to control future 50 mill pay days.

He refused and is demanding a 50 mill pay day instead.

joshua got paid 15 million v klitchko

    klitchko got 15 million

klitchko is a much bigger name worldwide and in the uk than wilder

i keep on hearing and reading american website boxing pundits say wilder v joshua is a 100 million fight and that is what wilder must be reading

    i cannot see it

say wilder v joshua does the same ppv numbers 1.5 million uk and crowd 90,000 uk both records .

if the fight takes place at 10.30pm uk time to maximuse uk ppv money this leaves it at between 2 and 5 on a saturday afternoon to genertate revenue of 70 million in the USA market

what kind of numbers does this equate to in america tv market ?i work it out at about 1.1 million ppv at $60 ? and has ppv boxing in the usa on afternoon shows had a bill overseas that genertes 70 million ?

If Wilder fights another 6 to 10 fights he will probably get $15,000,000 from them combined.

    IRS get their cut
Shelly Finkel takes his Shylock cut
    Al Haymon takes his cut
    Manager #3 takes his cut
    Trainer
And whoever else is on the payroll

Then Wilder can sit back with his remaining 6.5% and tell himself "Deontay, you one flyyyyy dawg. Eddie Hearns never got you into a slave contract like he done AJ"

Hard to say for sure as you can't guarantee revenue. Hearn said the 12.5 mill offer was about 30% of what he estimated as the split so that would mean he estimates the total pot at about 42mill so with Wilder taking 15mill Joshua then gets about 27mill.

So a 35.7 percent split then. And Wilder rejected that offer coming in with 1 belt against 3.

How high percentage did Parker got coming in with 1 belt against 2?

Nobody really knows what Parker got. The media will have you believe between 30-35% from all the reports in the lead up to it being announced. But with Hearn saying Parker only got about half of the $12.5 mill he offered Wilder, it suggests he got far less than 30%, unless of course the fight generated far less than estimated.

I reckon it’ll be close to 35 million dollars.

Similar numbers to Wlad vs Joshua in the UK, but a better return from the US, as it will be PPV. I don’t think it’ll do great numbers there though.

Anything can be marketed well if the proper effort is put into it.

How many boring Floyd Mayweather fights did people put up with in the last decade, but people still came back begging for more?!?

Either Floyd Mayweather, who is semi literate, is a marketing genius or there was a concentrated effort to market him by TV networks....

    The money is there.....

People are stupid enough to pay....(genuinely, they are)

There are no other PPV stars so you might as well try and create one.

AJ will get at least double that flat purse, so around 25 million..

But then I'm sure he'd get a PPV percentage and then sponsorship, maybe a little percentage of foreign TV rights and even radio rights.

Joshua's money will still dwarf Wilders.

That said, if Wilder is smart and has intelligent people around him then he too could get some big endorsements and other perks.

The fight based on Finkels own numbers in the U.K was 50 million!

    12.5 is 25% of that.

    Joshua would make 35 million

    Wilder 15

Give or take Joshua makes about that which should shoot down the nonsense Joshua walked away from 50 million...that's just stupid!

Wilder also walked away from a potential rematch getting 50% to what would be about 50 million! Wilder is a dummy!

Any real boxing fan would be on him for not making the fight happen !

Neither fighter has done a PPV in the States, and it will inevitably by a late afternoon fight.

For those reasons I see it doing ok, but nothing more. I reckon that’s where Hearn is getting his 30% info from. He’s being modest of course, and it could do better, but I don’t think there’s an example that shows this, given the criteria of the fight/fighters.

It's a $100 million dollar fight in America, if you don't understand the economics of it there are resources available via the Google machine. The gate is a very small percentage of the revenue generated from a mega fight.
