By the time that fight happens the odds will have swung further in AJ's favour. A tepid fight where AJ wins on points or stops an ageing usyk late
Usyk would be at least 35.5 before they could hypothetically fight so time is definitely against him but I believe he beats AJ in many key areas: speed, agility, stamina, chin, skill, mental toughness and experience. I could see Usyk outboxing AJ but getting robbed by Hearn's judges.
In terms of sheer entertainment AJ vs Klitschko easily. In terms of impressiveness AJ vs Ruiz 2 easily IMO. Schooling Ruiz for 12 rounds after the brutal knockout by Ruiz in the first fight and adding more dimensions in his game by using his jab and footwork to fight backward effectively. AJ looked even better against Pulev but Pulev was not nearly as big a threat or impressive caliber opponent as Ruiz was after that upset. Ruiz came in out of shape but the weight he gained wasn't as much as it seemed at the weigh in Ruiz kept his heavy outfit on and was likely only about 5-8 pounds heavier than he was in the first fight. Ruiz coming in out of shape was a factor but I don't think it was the deciding one I feel that Joshuas changes his game plan and coming in more motivated played a bigger role than Ruiz's physical condition.
