What IS classified as a GLASS JAW???

There are, in my view, two main ways to determine that a fighter has a china chin:

1) If he gets knocked the **** out early, particularly if it happens more than once. Getting knocked the **** out at any time at the very least raises substantial questions about punch resistance.

2) If he hits the deck often, particularly against light punchers. This is usually not indicative of someone who has as bad a chin as number one.

Bottom line - getting knocked unconscious is the best indicator of a glass jaw. And Khan CERTAINLY has one.

 

According to today's fans it seems to be anyone who has ever been knocked out, knocked down, stunned, or in some cases even slipped.

 

Simply put , i'd say a boxer who demonstrates practically little to no punch resistance. The type of guy that reacts everytime his chin is checked. No matter who you are you can be knocked down or out. So I wouldn't go as far as to say just because a fighter has been stopped he's "chinny". But You also have those tommy morrison types that seemingly every time the got hit with a flush shot they go down or wobble.

 

You get knocked out = Glass jaw
You get knocked down = Glass jaw

 

On ESB, you have a glass jaw if you are in any way hurt (even momentarily) by a punch to the head.

You're also EXPOSED when you lose a fight.

And you're a bum if you aren't elite p4p fighter.

I'd say Enzo Maccarinelli has a glass jaw. Andrei Arlovski in MMA. But I wouldnt say RJJ, Hatton or even Khan have one.
