I never said I fought pro. But if you'd like maybe we should contact John Scully and discuss the who's and when's you phony! If that doesn't work for you how about Vinny Paz or Peter Manfredo sr?
Just out of curiosity Carcharias, where did you get that second link of me talking about my boxing experience? Because when you click it it doesn't take you to that. Me thinks you been stalking me and saving tid bits from other sites! You sad, phony, little boy!
One thing I have never understood is GBP should have been putting Wilder on every PPV undercard they have had since he turned Pro to get him exposure. They haven't marketed him right casual fans have zero clue who he is or his story. Also if he is going to do the bum thing he should be fighting every 2 months. Heck every 6 weeks even. It is almost like they don't want people to know who he is :huh
yeah i get that. what i dont get is why is he hidden on off tv fight cards when they should be promoting the shi.t out of him???
If I had to guess, and it is only a guess, I'd say because of how crude and raw he looked. I should think it would be more difficult promoting a guy like that than one who has built a string of ko's against soft but improving comp. Now Im not claiming Wilder to be the next great heavy. So far besides some speed and great power I just don't see it. What I am saying is there have been many, many different fighters brought along this path and that managers and promoters who deal with these fighters everyday know better how to bring them along better than people on the internet, most who have never even been in a ring or directly involved with the sport. And that is not directed at you my man.
whats the opposite of promotion? answer: cover up and thats exactly what they are doing....hiding him
if i had to guess....its because he looks like an adonis with 100% KO ratio in 29 fights and his opponents have all looked like 5 foot 7 mega fat middleweights with the exception of a few that were bigger but in their 40s. :-( they are embarrassed what kind of attention it would draw to show physically just how bad his opponents look. and even worse how bad they fight.
So for some reason you think its ok for some fighters (some with much more amateur experience) to take this route, but not Wilder. Very revealing. :think
4 years and 44 fights against nobodies. I guess its different for heavyweights though, right? atsch This content is protected Or maybe it isn't...This was 5 years and 26 fights. This content is protected Do I need to keep going because I can find plenty of other examples. Just face it, you guys hating on wilder aren't hating because the way he's being brought along, you hate him because of the hype. Blame the internet for that, not the way fighters have been brought along for decade after decade after decade..
I am sure there is a deeper reason for Wilder's slow development. On a recent tweet he mentioned that he prefers the quick 1 round KOs in comparison to more rounds. This should tell you that he is even not willing to take on lasting matches for some reason. He most likely is waiting to cash-out and I don't mind the guy. He also may feel well in his development rate and he may truly believe that age and youth are on his side for a long time. I just don't like the hype that is created form the likes of S. Gilfoid and other die-hard fans who are hyping him to the clouds. You can't compare Wilder to Klitchko because you don't compare an off-road truck with an F1 racing car when it comes to racing on the track...
Julio Ceser Chavez was heavily criticized for fighting cab drivers. He also stepped and proved himself, when he had the opportunity. When Wilder was offered to fight Chisora, he claimed he couldnt enter the UK because of his criminal record. But when David Haye needed a sparring partner, it was absolutely no problem to travel. Larry Holmes was 27-0 when he fought for and won the Heavyweight Championship, not some paper title belt like they have so many belts now. I don't know HTF you are comparing him to Wilder. Wilder is going to his 30th fight against a journeyman, club fighter.
