The greatest sporting moment/ event in history and plus its not too bias towards clay.

2nd fave is the Toback Tyson film.

Thrilla was an incredible doc that details the revision of the Ali legend and how the laurels often don't go to the bravest ...

Probably just for sentimental value, 'Pound for Pound' is the first boxing vid i can remember buying. It's a discussion between Bert Sugar and Bill Cayton about who is the best fighter ever pound for pound. It's the part about Harry Greb that makes it, the narrator says something to the effect of 'it was only after Greb died that it was realised that he fought the last eight years of his career completely blind in one eye', as he's saying it there's this epic music gradually getting louder in the background, i was only young watching it, i was like 'ooohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!'

When we were Kings was a good one. If your a Tyson fan the Fallen Champ documentary is probably the best one.

Yeah i liked that one too but i dont like the fact that clay won in the end. I see the reason for futch ending the fight.

When we were kings was excellent. The "Unforgivable blackness" too, as was "ring of fire".

    edit:
"Joe and Max" was pretty good, albeit nor really a documentary.

Champions Forever: Latin Legends is superb.

If only for Arguello's idealogical politics lecture and Duran's hard line against drug use.

good shout to ring of fire :good

facing ali is my favourite, followed closely by the beyond the glory about tyson (which was actually a chunk better than the brilliant tyson movie)

Something about little Merthyr guys (Howard Winstone, Johnny Owen) makes great documentaries:

'When We Were Kings' is very good.

I also like the HBO Lengendary Nights series, particularly Arguello-Pryor and Leonard-Hearns.
