I keep hearing him being talked about as an up and coming heavy as if he's gonna be the next big thing at heavyweight. Have you people watched him fight?! I don't mean to ***** about a fighter or be a hater I just don't get what you're all seeing in Fury. Is it because he talks the talk and actually likes the sport? EDIT: I like Tyson Fury! This thread isn't an anti Fury thread, it's about all the people claiming he's the next Klitschko.
no technique its only his height and dodgy name that have him up there, if he could become a hopkins kind of disciplinarian and get someone like manny steward in his corner he could be immense but he is just a fat pikey atm
Emanuel Steward (Klitschhko and lennox lewis's trainer) says tht Fury can be the next heavyweight who dominates the division so who shall I believe a boxing expert who is the best trainer in the world or some guy on a forum. Tough choice Also "I dont mean to be a hater or ***** about a fighter" contradiction.
i did mate, I watched Fury punch chisora in good combinations for 12 rounds, do yours need testing? hes not great yet but giv him chance, Wlad Klit needed a fair bit of working be4 he came great.
What is crystal clear is he is in dire need of a top trainer. Should he take on someone like roach or steward he could become a dominant force in the HW division. As it is, he lacks technique and focus. His ring dicipline is terrible, how he was playing to the cameras and the crown DURING the fight with chisora was shocking to say the least. He has time on his side but already has some terrible habits that need sorting out fast. I feel only someone like roach or steward could force the disipline into him. Though because he is so young that will be difficult because he is somewhat arrogant. Lets just keep him in the " he has potential " catagory for now.
Good combinations? atsch I think you mean pitty pat arm punches, leaving him wide open since he wasn't using any range.
I don't see it either. His technique is poor, he can be very sloppy, he is very uncoordinated even for a tall heavy. He really hasn't shown me anything to suggest he can go beyond being a domestic level heavyweight.
