    Well put.

I actually like watching him work at times. I thought a healthier version of Hatton, had Cortez not screamed "break" anytime the two fighters were within a foot of each other, might have made a very competitive fight. Still, Floyd can be a very pretty fighter to watch.

Yep, they are an embarassment to themselves, their families & the sport that made them millionaires... if they do not fight each other NEXT then I`m well & truly done with both guys & I will NEVER mention either guy with any elite fighter as long as I live.

I`m also happy to have lived in their time... because it was the same time as a TRUE fighter, Erik Morales ;)

    :good

A truly gifted fighter with incredible ability and a pretty good resume to fit the bill... But also a terrible public personality.

I don't mind Floyds personality/attitude, one thing I will say though is that he has no charisma, did you see when he did that wrestling ****? He stunk the stadium out

Will you floyd apologists please stop blaming Pacquiao for this fight not happening, there's only one guilty party here whose thrown up all the road blocks & thats the moneyman who'll not risk his premium spot at the HBO $$$$ trough.

Plenty of you on here smugly yelped that this fight must happen as there's too much money at stake & i had to correct you by stating it will not happen as $50MILLION is not $200million & thats what floydie sees in the long term by taking the cherry picked route & all with the blessing of HBO. So cut this crap about pac being the problem, HE AI'NT THE PROBLEM & one thing i'll cut some slack on in defence of the "This fight must happen because of $50million" brigade is proberbly all due to the fact you're all on fixed incomes & are impressed by the $50million & thats understandable, but i've always seen the bigger picture along with others who are of a higher income bracket, just natures way:yep

The fight would have happened in '10 if Arum/Pacquaio agreed to the demands, they were the ones who left the nogiating table with everything agreed except for the drugs testing so they could face Clottey. This is after Mayweather agreed to 50-50 despite being the bigger draw and the real WW champion. Pacquaio's team have admitted to date they haven't agreed to full random blood testing. IF that was Mayweather doing that people would be outraged at him.

It really doesn't make business sense for Arum to make the fight, if his man loses he's no longer P4P no1 and he no longer draws huge numbers the same way. Given Mayweather makes 15-20million more per fight than Pacquiao, it shows Arum is skimming 15-20million off the top of Pacs wage bill. If the fight is made, Mayweather takes 50%, Arum only has half the purse to skim the money off and you can bet he wants more than 15-20million for what is a risky fight. It's likely Arum wants to skim off Mayweather's purse too - he complained about Mayweather asking for 100million but if the fight sells 4million PPVs 100million would equate to 50% of the purse, so does Arum not want to give up 50% of the purse?

Arum pulled Pacquaio from the first negotiations, didn't push Pacquaio for full testing, signed fights without trying to negotiate with Mayweather. Arum has recently admitted he's planning for Pacquaio-Bradley and isn't looking to talk with Mayweather.

No Mayweather isn't pushing for the fight, he's on 90% of 1.4million PPV fights without the risk of Pacquaio (personally I think Khan/Martinez are just as risky as Pacquaio). But Arum doesn't want the fight either and Pacquaio is his lapdog who says 'I don't need Mayweather'.

Oh well let's look on the bright side, both are face elite young bulls next time in Khan and Bradley, both are good fights

DEMANDS!! DEMANDS!! DEMANDS!! lets not go into this again, last word on this, Pac went back & said OK to 14 days & floyd said that offer ai'nt on the table no more:deal

Pac's tied into a contract & floydie is a FREE AGENT & if floyd wanted this fight to happen it would have happended simple as:deal

Pac/Floyd is past it's sell by date now IMO & as you said Khan/Bradley are not going to be push overs & IMO Pac's got the tougher test by far as Bradley for me is a very good all round boxer who's got the tools to pull off the win against a slowing down pac. But i honestly don't see what Khan has in the tool box to out floyd floyd:bart I see Floyd actually going after Khan & knocking him out:yep

If you were a boxer and someone didn't want to take a full range of drugs test wouldn't you get suspicious? In any other sport Pacman would be kicked out of competition for not taking the tests but boxing has testing that allows boxers to take the ****. Mayweather is the champ and the PPV king, he's aloud to make demands. Pacman makes demands for all of his recent opponents

None of this would of been an issue in the first place if Pacquaio/Arum didn't try to 1 up Mayweather and demand a 10million per pound penalty and 50-50, which was a **** take considering Mayweather was the PPV king by a landslide at the time. Mayweather caved in for DLH's demands when he was PPV king and Pacquaio should have done the same here. But Arum wanted to take the **** and Mayweather wanted to 1 up Arum.

It's all primadonna bull**** from both sides, but this isn't the first time Pacquaio/Arum have played primadonna either - look at the Hatton fight they were about to pull out unless they got the higher purse, look at the catchweight fights. It's ok for Pac to make demands but not Mayweather? We also know Arum is the king of matchmaking and not putting his fighters in overly risky fights where their bubble may burst

I'm not convinced who's better from Khan-Bradley, but remember Bradley pulled out of that fight, to chase better business options because he wasn't convinced he'd win.

  10. He is also shameless with his use of elbows and cheap trickery. Knocking ortiz out in a complication was a cheap easy way out.

love how the classic section praises the classic guys for their sneaky tricks yet hates on floyd for his. i am not a floyd fan just a realist. stop praising guys like harry greb or more recently hopkins for their sneaky old time tactics that are actually illegal while at the same time hating on floyd for this. it was legal and justified. he was blatantly head butted and pissed off. i would've been too. he is a world class talent and will go down as one of the greats. a bunch of hypocrites in here i tell ya.

Great boxer, beautiful to watch, infuriatingly inactive and either unwilling or indifferent to facing enough of the top guys around at the time. To say his post-2007 career, when he became a big enough draw to basically get any fight he wanted, has been disappointing is like saying Bill Gates is financially comfortable.

Instead of facing Manny next, or Sergio, he's probably going to cherry-pick Khan. Yes, Khan is a cherry-pick, and I'll be surprised if Khan is able to win more than 2 rounds.

Showed me how people buy into his villianous persona, and overlook his actual talents.. Also when he says something he means it,when he said he will walk Ortiz down and stated "If you make a mistake your gonna pay"..

Pacquiao's probably on drugs. We know that. But so what ?

Mayweather should just go out their and kick his ass, if he can. Accept the fact that his opponent is using drugs (surely not the first time Floyd has fought someone on PEDs), and go beat him.
It's not as if Pacquiao is gonna turn up weighing 275 pounds looking like a prime Lou Ferrigno. That would be detected at the weigh in.

If Mayweather is the best then he should just go out and beat the same Pacquiao that Hatton, DeLaHoya, Cottey and Cotto fought.
He's already made his point about the drugs. Good for him. Pac uses PEDs. Now get the fight on.

An ATG fighter with a very good resume. Not yet a great one.

Anybody who disputes the ability and the skills is ignorant.
