    He doesn't like to drain.

And Floyd was challenged by Hatton.

So Hatton came after him. Not vice versa.

Floyd weighed 148 on fight night against Hatton. If he has stayed in sublime shape he could fight at 140.

Floyd was challenged by hatton, I'm not disputing that. But Floyd had more to gain by fighting Hatton at 140 than 147. Just like Floyd would have more to gain by fighting JMM at 140 than some catchweight above 140. So why doesn't he?

He doesn't like to drain is not the answer man. I don't think Floyd can drain down to 140 even if he wanted to.

I don't believe he likes to cut weight much at all.

The human body can drain on average 10-15 even 20lbs of water weight if it needed to.

Floyd could easily cut that. He chooses not too.

He didn't lose anything by fighting Hatton at 147 because Hatton weighed 154 on fight night against him. Exactly what he weighs at 140.

Fighting JMM at 143. Thats a toss up.

But remember that they are single digit lbs apart on fight night. And that gap is smaller than if he were to fight Mosley or Cotto.

    Eze is right here.

And bottom line, Floyd picked up his belt at 140 before Hatton stepped up to the plate. Even though a win over Hatton at 140 might have been a better H2H result, it was more marketable to fight at 147. More glamorous division, Floyd's belts were on the line, etc...

With Pacquiao in the rear view, I think I'm done "wondering" how PBF-Hatton plays out at 140 anyhow.

He should be fighting @ 140 but since he hasnt fought at that weight for sometime now then he should be classified @ 147lbs. Again he is a small welter but definitely still effective at that weight because of his great skills.

We'll see what's what when HBO announces the unofficial weight for Floyd vs JMM (if they do). I strongly doubt that Floyd came in below 150 against Oscar and Hatton the way people claim that he is. Truth is HBO didn't announce the unofficial weights for those fights. Against Oscar, Floyd was already at 150 for the weigh-in. And we're supposed to believe he was at 148 on fight night? I don't buy it.
