no way man, nobody comes from a tough background like Money Mayweather....jesus mummy didn't buy him any jelly babies for dessert one night and he had a wee cry about it..as he does when Larry Merchant implies his fights are ****.
    That's deprevation we're talking about....bread 'n water stuff.

ESB is so full of hateful, jealous, enraged ppl who seem to have no lives! Ppl on here constantly look for something to attack even if it shows how truly bitter they are. Known of you know what his childhood was like, and most of you have no clue what it's like to grow up having drugs as a part of your life on both parents side, but you'll surely sit here and add your 2 cents. Whether he grew up w/his Grandmother or not he still had two parents that he couldn't go to like most kids, that he barely seen like most kids, and who he never used as an excuse to be a failure. That itself tells you where most of his motivation came from, but most of the dumbasses on here can't realize it because of there blind Hatred for the guy. Some even say that him talking about it is him embelishing it! How do you get that because when another peerson on here in this thread brings up a similar background growing up he sounds the same except to him it's not embelishing it. Ask Floyd if he wants to go back to that life, and when you get his ans you'd see that he's not embelishing it at all. Just cause one reflects and uses is past and a reason why he's successful does means he embelishes it. Hops had a rough past and whn HBO and he spoke about it, and don't recall ppl saying Hops was embelishing his past, but I do recall how he was looked up to.

I grew up w/out my father even though he lived 2mins away, and a mother who struggled w/4kids, and no financial support. She did it on her own, and we as kids shared everything, and walked everywhere. I seen it all, but because I talk about it being my motivation, doesn't mean for one second that I embelish it:nono but I can surely tell you about it all day long and even do it w/a smile because of where I am now. When you make promises to yourself about what your going to do or be, and what you do going to do and be, or be like and you succeed it's not that bad part you talk about that you embelish, it's the fact that you accomplished what you set out to do, and, or be that you embelish! Mayweather is happy where he's at, but doesn't forget where he was, or what motivated him. Anyone who has a problem w/anyones success story is a pathetic, sad, miserable person!!

The middle class area that you suggest mayweather's family has said they lived is probably still worse than where Hatton lived.
