What is Floyd Mayweather talking about?

I am very happy to see people succeed whatever their background- Edison Miranda for example

but I see Floyd trying to embellish his past- get over it.

 

It's not necessarily something proud to have lived an imporvished life!

 

Floyd just goes on about it abit too much- sorry its boring- stop being a victim

 

The Skysports interviewer asked him about his upbringingatsch

 

7 pages arguing about whether Mayweather had a hard upbringing or not and no one mentions HE CALLS HIS MOTHER HIS WIFE AND HIS BABYGIRL

So he lied about it?:huh

 

You see what you want to see, or percieve! When ppl don't like a certain individual they fail to see anything positive, and usually have a negative perception!

 

are you from his Grand Rapids via England because that's the only way you'd know if he's lied:huh

 

He says this bull**** for one thing and one thing only: To fit the stereotype that will allow him to sell the most tickets possible. It works on everyone, white or black, stereotypes garner interest. Floyd may be an overrated liar, but what's certain is that he's smarter than most people think.

 

If Floyd is lying about his background and being poor and whatnot, I don't see the point in it in regards to selling tickets.

I can see the trash talk, playing the bad guy, creating hype, etc....but not in the whole rags-to-riches thing.

Boxing's always had a socioeconomic thing to it. It's been full of fighters from poor/lower middle class backgrounds.

Claiming you had a harder upbringing than you did....I don't see how that increases ticket sales.
