Surey won't be as the best of his generation anymore. Will he be best remembered for the Wilder trilogy? Beating Wlad? Being 'the man' until Usyk arrived? Recovery and comeback from his demons, etc? How will history remember him?
Guy that beat Wlad, hss onr of the best comebacks ever in boxing, beat the arguably hardest hitter in boxing history in a trilogy, lost to the number 1 guy in the era in close but clear fights and will be considered a clear number two if he finally fights and beats AJ.
He will remembered for going life and death in a trilogy with the most crude boxer of the modern era. He will forever be known as Greedy Belly. He's no longer considered as an H2H heavyweight great.
For some, I imagine, Bowe level. Had the skill, an exciting trilogy but didn't live up to his massive potential.
He will be missed when he’s gone. He was an entertainer out of the ring. He will be remembered for his wilder trilogy, the third fight especially
Fury is one of the greatest fighters of all time. Despite the man being a:- - Part time alcoholic - Part time fighter - Mentally depressed. - Battling obesity - Having around 10 kids - Seasonal Coke head - Being the son of Big John Fury - Spending 3 years pissing about getting up to 30 stone in weight - Lost his voice for about 2 years - Failed suicide attempt - Bipolar disorder - Got drunk, fell over and bumped his head on a lamppost outside a pub He still managed to give Usyk a good 24 round test where he won a few rounds himself No other fighter in history could go through all of that and be competitive at world level in boxing.
His legacy is much like his personal life meaning very up and down unfortunately. But there’s no shame in losing to greatness and Usyk is certainly great.
Should be remembered as a damn good heavyweight with very good size and skills. Good enough to beat a dangerous wilder three times and also gave other good heavyweights ass whoopings. Gotta give Tyson credit!
The 2nd best heavyweight of this era and someone who brought a lot of flair to the heavyweight division. His series vs Wilder will be remembered as well as him getting up the canvas in the 12th round of the 1st fight and the great 3rd fight
He's a very good heavyweight. Also is entertaining in an annoying sort of way. He needs to fight Joshua now to settle who is the best British HW of their generation. He fell short against Usyk twice despite having huge physical advantages. It was his chance to prove greatness and he fell short --- twice. He will be fondly remembered and respected but he's nolonger in any kind of GOAT HW conversation even if that conversation was mostly in his own mind.
