holt is my boy i always liked him.. i think after the loss to peterson hes decided to call it quits. but he can still be in sum good fights n i wish he kept fighting theres guys out there i would like to see him fight .
Holt runs hot and cold as a fighter one of the reasons why I never really liked him. He had good power but fell in love with it later in his career and spent too much time loading up trying to land the big shot.
he's done with boxing for the time being. not sure he is even fresh enough to come back in a year or two. doesn't have the dedication needed to meet close to expectations with the skill he has
I would like to see him fight again. Him and Randall Bailey. I want Bailey against someone immobile like Bam Bam Rios and Holt against someone chinny like Kahn.
I agree that the Peterson loss is probably stuck in his head because he knows that fight was a golden opportunity to pick up a legit strap and parlay that result into a lucrative rematch with Bradley or Garcia. That said, he could still probably string together a few wins against top 50 types...if he wanted to... but would he make enough to really justify bottomfeeding like that ? Probably not. Hopefully he's been smart with his money and he'll focus on training or something.
Agreed. He definitely should have beaten Bradley, Torres and Peterson. Danny probably would have always given him problems though.
