Rahman is basically a stand-up puncher who works behind a sharp, consistent jab. He'll box from the orthodox position, on the outside, while plodding forward and looking for opportunities to get his bombs in. When it's to his advantage to do so, Rahman tries to turn his bouts into brawls. I thought boxer/puncher was the best description.
At his best , Rahman was a fearsome stalking boxer who had a solid right hand to shoot over a very stiff jab.. The first glitch in his carreer occurred and not by his own fault was when Tua struck him after the bell in thier first fight.. he never recovered and he got sadly exposed in the following round and i think he doubted his own chin ever since.. Rahman isn't a Muhammad Ali but he was a very dangerous fighter who did the best he could with very good but limited skills.. at 235 he was good, but into the 240's and higher he let himself down and suffered some dire losses..
havent seen the man fight in years, but I would say fundamentally sound but with no particular standout qualities, not ridiculous but not particularly impressive or unique in any way
