In my opinion Haye is all about wanting a huge payday. Haye wants to keep winning with very little effort against poor opposition and will have his fingers crossed Joshua picks up the world title and then the British boxing fans demand to see Joshua Vs Haye. Haye is on Sky Box Office Saturday night doing the Joshua fight, Why not Fury? Fury Vs Wladimir was on SBO and he is the number 1 heavyweight on the planet but nope they get in Haye who was fighting on Dave TV. They are setting this up, getting Haye on is just a little taster of what's to come. Haye wants a short cut to a world title and Fury isn't giving him one so it has to be Joshua and to be fair there will be big money involved for all concerned. They know what they are selling, Old Champion Vs New Champion. It has all the ingredients to be a huge fight in the UK. If all this happens Haye will take his money and vanish again.
Haye has no interest in fighting his way to the top. He didn't do it the first time, he isn't going to do it now in this 3rd phase of his heavyweight career. He will play the boxing politics game as much as possible with smart matchmaking. He's banking on boxing being big in the UK, so he can get Fury or a relatively green AJ in the Ring. He won't be the one to fight Ortiz and I think Wilder is not his first choice either.
