What is it about Mendoza's style that gave Tim Tszyu's problems?

Tszyu has fought all kinds of styles, but Mendoza gave him the most problems.

It's like Tszyu had some offensive dead zones when was fighting Mendoza. There are certain ranges where he just can't get his offense going. He wasn't setting any traps, just looking for openings. At long range, he's fine and he was able to catch Mendoza with big shots. At mid range, he struggled with Mendoza's movement and he seem to be afraid of Mendoza's counters.

Mendoza is deceptively slippery and he is constantly moving his head. He's constantly moving from side to side, but just enough to be effective. That seem to threw Tszyu off a bit in the first half of the fight.

Comparing Tsyzu to Alimkhanuly, Tsyzu doesn't look very fluid... not that he was all that fluid to being with. Last night, he just seemed extra stiff.

Tszyu had no problems with Mendoza. Just look at Mendozas face after the fight. He got the **** beat out of him but survived due to his iron jaw. He’ll never be the same though, as that was a career altering beating he took.

Mendoza was a good opponent but he is going to be a sick and sorry boy today after the beating Tszyu inflicted on him. How he stayed on his feet is bewildering.

Exactly. If people call beating the hell out of somebody struggling then I don't know what to say LOL.
This is boxing you are not going to win every round of every fight.

Gausha gave him a much closer and harder fight, dropping him. Mendoza was just a tough, strong, physically big man that could take a really good shot, But he didn't really give tim any serious problems. At no point was tim in any type of trouble or getting out boxed.

Tim wasn't timing Mendoza's jerky movement. Wasn't setting things up with his jab. Low activity overall in the early rounds, didn't seem overly eager either.

Seems pretty obvious Tim was confident to take Mendoza into deep waters and crush him. I worry that strategy could backfire overseas but on this occasion he was right. Mendoza chin held up though surprisingly

Gausha didn't really win too much after the early rounds. Say first 3 rounds. One of those judges was smoking crack

Tims a slow starter and has been dropped twice in round 1 so the strategy for the opponents going ahead.

    What problems?

Tszyu belted the living Christ out of Mendoza.

Some so called boxing fans are as dumb as dogsh*t. That fight was managed so well by Tszyu that coaches should use it to school young fighters on how to control your opponent. Tszyu’s plan was simple, feel the guy out for 4-5 rounds, assess what the guy has, implement whatever plan you have to counter it and then turn up the gas once you’ve solved the puzzle.

He did it against Gausha, he did it against Harrison, he did it against Mendoza and he’ll do it to Charlo.

Tszyu is a genius IQ level boxer. He made a mess of Mendoza.

He fought the perfect fight. He made an interim World champ look like a bum. Shawn Porter called it in the last round. Mendoza was looking to survive, rather than looking to finish/win.

Many people have this us against them mentality. USA vs Australia or whatever the hell it is. Charlo vs Tszyu vendetta. Or they're just trolls and combination of everything I just mentioned. Even if it were true that Mendoza caused Tszyu trouble, so he should. As said he was the top dog in the division after Tszyu and is an interim world champion. But he didn't.

    Tszyu last 4 fights

Got up of the canvas in Round 1 in his US Debut and proceeded to flog the living daylights out of Gausha. Gausha probably has brain damage as a result of that beating. Seriously. But God bless him. He's also a gentlemen as Tim said.

Harrison - He gave Tszyu far more problems than Mendoza with his jab and boxing I.Q. But what happened there? He got Pulverised, dropped, and the fight was stopped. In round 9.

Ocampo - Yeah, Oh Campo alright. Poor *******.

Mendoza - Tszyu was never rocked. Not once. This from a guy that came to Australia and didn't run from Tim unlike the so called number 1. That b1tch fled the division after pulling out twice. I doubt he will fight Tszyu. If he doesn't, his new nickname should be called Chicken.

I could give two ****s about Tszyu being from Australia. I go for blokes based upon what kind of a fighter they are, what kind of a person are they. In Tszyu's case, he's an absolute gentlemen of the sport just like Mendoza. They are true champions and carry themselves with class. The same can't be said for various other fighters. But as boxers I follow and admire them. Like a Tank Davis or a Floyd Mayweather. A cheeky brat like Teofimo Lopez. Nothing but love. Even Haney. But to dismiss Tszyu because of where he's from or where your from is just stupidity and ignorance.

Tszyu has did a Donny Creed and had to fight in his fathers shadow. But he's stepped up and stepped out of that shadow and built an almighty reputation.

He is number 1 in the division.

Unpredictable style and had KO power especially in recent fights, so Tszyu was cautious early on and took some time to get into the fight.

I don't think he struggled with Mendoza per se even though it was kinda close on scorecards, I just think Tszyu was rightly cautious early on because let's be honest Tszyu looked different class when he really opened up.
