JMM skills was evident in fight 1. But in fight 2, however, Pac learned to adjust to Marquez counterpunching. He was able to neutralize it w/ improved defensive skills. Fight 2 had shown that Pac can still eke out a win in a close fight with his better offensive skills. Read down that, a knock down, which more often than not impressed the judges.
At 140, JMM will lose his speed, whereas Pac has clearly shown that he has already adjusted himself fighting bulky fighters in actual fights and sparring. That's the handicap of JMM when he goes up at `140/147.
Nobody asked for the PAC-MAB rematch. Only those who believed it was a fluke. But yeah technically, JMM gives more problem to Pacs style, but it doesnt mean He beats MAB 5 of 5... their style and technicality are very different, and Pac overwhelms MAB's more than he can overwhelm JMM.
i think its a mental thing with MAB against Pac...why does MAB 'box' so much against Pac, but tries to take EM's head off? i think Pac's aggressiveness and speed takes some the alpha out of MAB...
JMM got chin for one. Then, his balance. He is always ready for that next punch after a counter. Furthermore, this follow up counter is thrown with force. Pac was able to neutralize this in their 2nd bout. The reason why the fight is close is because Pac is just so careless with free long jabs or hooks JMM threw. Pac did the same thing with DLH. For about 3 rounds of the first 30 seconds in the round, Pac ate rights. In the Oscar Larios fight, he even saw stars.
Yeah, Morales won by UD in a competitive fight aided by a headbutd which rendered one of Pac's eyes blind for the majority of the fight!:yep
Marquez is better counter puncher and has the composure not to get himself into a brawl. He has the perfect TIMING to nullify pac's speed.
Pac fans sure are ready with excuses for why Pac has losses...getting beat by an aging Erik Morales isn't really a big deal...the dude was a bad ass..
