What is it with Khan and throwing many punch combinations at once?

A 46% punch success vs Molina is not bad.

With Hunter I think his total output will drop, but his connect rate will increase, but it will take a few camps for Khan to bring the output down.

 

Combination of poor boxing brain and how he was taught. He just doesn't know any better. He has a 3 round amatuer mindset and doesn't understand the more you throw, the more open you are. So wastes a lot of punches.

 

His biggest problem is having to throw every punch he's decided to throw from the outset. But it looks like he's getting a bit better at deciding when to throw them. Still has some flaws, shown when Molina tagged him, but he threw his longest combinations when Molina shelled up and shied away, so it was a good reading of body language.

Throwing multi-punches is fine.

The problem in his case is that they often are just flurries thrown for the sake of it, not deliberately placed blows.

The idea of combo punching is to create and exploit openings. He too often throws flurries that aren't accurate or effective.

The combo he landed that dropped Maidana, now that was good combination punching.

Roach boxers are like that.

They all got KTFO except jr. Well, khan is choosing when to punch now and it's really beautiful to watch. I was impress with him against Molina.But there's still areas there that he still goes ballistic and get's reckless.But it's not as bad as before when he was with Roach.
