I've heard rumours that he's gotten fat, out of shape and wont be returning to the ring anytime soon. Can anyone confirm? :think

I'm afraid James Kirkland seems to be nothing but a street punk. He was hyped as an unbeatable monster till a feather fisted Asian guy put him to sleep

I've read comments here and other sites saying that he's become a fat **** and is not even training anymore...too bad if that's true, I was hoping for a rematch with Angulo now that el Perro is back

^Same here. Even tho I'll be honest Angulo looks less than I expected upon his return... He still beats James. (IMO)

A shame If Kirkland is all F'd up.

I think Angulo's comeback fight was great, specially considering he was coming from a big layoff...in jail. And his latest opponent was a tough cookie who should get more credit.

Jail destroys boxers, how many times we have seen good boxers returning from a significant amount of time in the slammer only to look like crap?

Angulo spent a whole year without training properly, I reckon it'll take him a while to recover his optimal physical condition

And yeah, its a shame if Kirkland is done for good, he delivers exciting fights and since he's a glass cannon you can almost guarantee a stoppage in his matches, either from him or his opponent :hat

If this is true, he should have taken the Canelo fight...

I remember when that story came out about him firing his whole team (including Anne Wolfe for a second time) for allegedly slipping him a drug that made him see double against Molina.

Media asked Schaefer at the khan conference, said that Kirkland believes he's a free agent, and they don't think so, lawyer's are looking into it still. Nothing else.

    Hes pissed away his career.

His fight with Angulo was dramatic and entertaining, Molina.. not so much, but it was due to styles, he's one of boxings most entertaining fighters, always goes all in and has shaky whiskers himself.
