But at the same did Bakole, Anderson and Dubois have the clearly better resumes? I wouldn´t say so. But I wouldn´t really argue with ranking them over Wallin.
Yeah, I got to say this performance makes AJ's resume take a real hit. I thought Wallin was better than this. He should beat a shopworn 40+ year old Chisora. Really bad.
Right? I always thought Wallin was a decent top-15 type, but he's 34 and looked awful out there against an ancient Chisora. That said, for me it doesn't really impact AJ's resume as Wallin probably wasn't in his top 5 wins anyway (Klitschko, Parker, Povetkin, Ruiz, Pulev/Whyte at this point). All those guys were champs or high-level contenders. The one who really suffers here is Fury, as his top 5 is what? Klitschko, Wilder, Whyte, Chisora, Cunningham/Wallin?
Last night really highlighted how poor AJ’s post-Usyk career has been. Ironically his competitive losing effort in his Usyk rematch in 2022 might be the best AJ has ever boxed at a high level.
To be fair, if Chisora beating Wallin ages AJ's resume a bit, Fury's resume becomes even more shyte, looking at how he performed against Wallin. Not to mention how bad his wins against Wilder aged. Chisora also beat Joyce, so the only claim to fame Zhang has, evaporates.
1. Ruiz Jr. 2. Pulev 3. Either Wallin or Franklin Pulev was clearly better than Wallin even at 39 since he performed much better against 2022 version of Chisora than Wallin did against 2025 version of Derek
Since 2018 the murderer’s row beaten is as follows: 283 lbs Ruiz in a big Saudi ring 39 year old Pulev Franklin 39 year old Helenius Wallin 0-1 Ngannou If they had a round robin I guess Pulev would come away with the most wins.
