With his career? The guy was chubby at LW, why is he fighting at light welter?? I didnt get the chance to see the 1st fight, but having just seen that, i have to wonder what Diaz is thinking. He had rolls around his waist, was pushing his jab from round 3, and was outowrked and hurt by one of the pound for pound lightest hitters going! Diaz could have mopped up lightweight. He could rematch and beat Marquez, beat Valero, i genuinely feel he could have been the number 1 there for a good while. Is his head not in the game, is he retiring soon to focus on his studies??? On that performance i suggest he does so...

Anyone know what Diaz situation is?
What are your thoughts on where hes goes from here?

Im speaking hypothetically of course. But you cant say for sure that if Diaz were to get focussed and lose the excess weight, he could not beat Marquez and Valero now? I havent seen enough and i dont think anyone has of Valero to say for sure he could definately last the distance with a top lightweight, like Diaz, that would bring it to him, and Marquez-Diaz 1 was a great even fight id love to see again, Diaz could win that if he improved his fitness.

Yes I can say it for sure. Diaz was in tremendous shape for the Marquez fight, and fought as well as he possibly could... he got KO'd by the superior fighter.

Diaz is a good fighter, but nothing more. Top class guys will ALWAYS beat him at any weight.

i don't know about valero, but no way he beats marquez. marquez made it very clear who was better.

Juan Diaz is a fun fighter to watch but the book is out on him and with each passing performance he becomes more and more one dimensional. He doesn't have the punching power or the foot speed to really compete with technical fighters.

I'll always follow his career but unless he gets a new corner and finds a much more strict conditioning program, he's only going to spin his wheels.

He gave Marquez hell before getting clocked which after watching Pauli own him makes me wonder about that Marquez vs Mayweather fight and the feeling that both Marquez and Diaz have no buisnessa above 130. Did you see how much physicaly bigger lil Pauli was, Diaz couldnt hurt him Pauli was too strong? yes lill weak ass Malianaggi. Diaz needs to be at 130
