What is Leonard Ellerbe's role?

Doesn't he in fight throw his own "boxing knowledge" in to floyd in between rounds?
I remember hearing him in i think Hatton fight roger was telling him to stay in the pocket and jab and couter, while Ellerbe when he finished and Floyd got his gumshield in and he goes into to his ear "Your the best, Floyd he can't touch you Beautiful baby, Beautiful. Keep hitting the body like your doing" lolz which was strange as i didn't remember doing a body attack on hatton lol

Thats when i found out what a dick he is lolz as all he says in between rounds is how Beautiful Floyd is and how the other guy not on his level
