Of all the gamblers in the world, there's actually around 1% that actually makes money in the long run, and you expect Floyd to fit in that 1%? He's supposedly a big time gambler, aswell as a big time party guy (heard he throws away way over 50k in one friday night). If Floyd knew whats good for him, he would be building a legacy on a few more wins and boost his name in American media, he could be much, much bigger than he is.
No idea. I would wager you that the fighter with the biggest bank balance would be Oscar De La Hoya, with Ricky Hatton and Joe Calzaghe not far behind. Calzaghe has got property here, there and everywhere, whilst Hatton has been making big money on the after dinner circuit for quite some time.
yea, i totally agree with you on the fact that Floyd has the potential to cash in on his ring skills, but doesn't want to. But come on if Floyd wasn't making the money in gambling, he wouldn't be bragging about it. With the kind of money floyd is he can pull in bank on sure things. It's not like he's playing slots, the man is betting on sports lines, he knows his ****.
The math is anything but simple. First off, no trainer is getting 10%. I have no ide where the hell you got that number from. Floyd Mayweather Sr. asked for 2 mill to train Ocscar and Oscar said that was too much. Now Oscar made about $50 mill for that fight. 2mill is only 4% of 50 mill. Freddy Roach probably got under 1 mill which would be less than 2% of Oscar's purse. I doubt Roger got anywhere near 10%. You have no idea how much Ellerbee or the rest of his team is making. You don't know the percentage of the ppv sales that Floyd got, or the live gate. There's also merchandising money that is made, as well as residuals for when the fight is reaired. He may still be making money off that fight. Aside from that, you have Floyd's other fight purses, his property, various companies that he may own as well as other investments. You would need detailed records of his finances and be pretty good at accounting in order to give an accurate estimate as to his networth. The math involved in estimating a person like Floyd's wealth is certainly not easy.
What a bunch of loser ass haters,lol... I would say close to $100 million and thats based on what he made last year and I know he's involved with various large national music tours that he's fronted money to start (as an investor). He's connected with Al Haymon who most of you haters probably aren't aware of but prior to him getting into boxing Al Haymon was one of the biggest music entertainment producers in the US. As for you haters, worry about your own finances.
Billy Graham gets 10% for training Ricky Hatton, and Brendan Ingle gets 10% as well for his fighters. Instead of keeping all the £££ for himself, he puts the money back into the community.
Those guys got it made. I'm telling you though, Roger Mayweather is not getting 10% of Floyd's purses.
The deal is that they would only have got £300 (around $600) when those guys started fighting for ten times that amount - so a lot of work for not a right lot of wedge. I think over here, a trainer is generally on 10% (unless the fighter is Amir Khan) whilst the cutman would take 1% and the dietician a similar amount. Managers are generally on 15% (Ray Hatton is on £1 per year :rofl)
That's crazy. Floyd's former manager was getting 10%(his people told him he was crazy for givng him that big of a percentage). He has since bought him out.
funny how you use the word hater and think people are getting offended by it:rofl omg he called me a hater!:rofl anyways wasn't james prince the music producer?
